A fair way to share.
These terms describe the responsibilities that keep FilePicnic workspaces useful, secure, and respectful for everyone.
Effective 27 October 20261. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using FilePicnic, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use FilePicnic for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required where you live. Keep your sign-in details secure, provide accurate account information, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
3. Workspaces and Google Drive
Each workspace has one owner. Files added through that workspace are created in the owner's connected Google Drive and count against the owner's storage. Owners control invitations and access levels. Members must follow the permissions assigned to them and may not attempt to bypass FilePicnic's access controls.
Google Drive, identity providers, and hosting services are independent services with their own terms. Their outages, account restrictions, storage limits, or policy changes may affect FilePicnic.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You give FilePicnic the limited permission necessary to transmit, organize, preview, modify, or delete that content only when providing actions you or an authorized workspace member request.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload and share the content and that doing so does not violate another person's rights, confidentiality, or applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use FilePicnic to distribute malware, exploit or disrupt the service, gain unauthorized access, evade security controls, infringe intellectual property, harass others, or store or share unlawful content. Automated or excessive activity that threatens reliability may be limited.
6. Workspace administration
Workspace owners are responsible for choosing members, assigning roles, maintaining sufficient Drive storage, and handling their organization's retention requirements. Removing access does not necessarily erase files already stored in the owner's Drive.
7. Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of FilePicnic. We aim to provide a dependable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation of data, or compatibility with every browser or third-party service. Keep appropriate backups of important files.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce these terms. You may stop using FilePicnic at any time and can delete workspaces you own through the available controls.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, FilePicnic is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. FilePicnic is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss caused by third-party services, user actions, or content stored in Google Drive. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as FilePicnic evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the service when practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to the support contact shown on the FilePicnic OAuth consent screen.
